Refunds and cancellations

The festive season is a demanding and challenging time for us when dealing with fresh fish. In order to secure our orders with fisherman and suppliers, we have to submit our orders by 15th December.

We are able to cancel or refund your order before 15th December, but unfortunately after that we are unable to do so.

Collected your order but have a problem? If something wasn't right or up to scratch with your order, please reach out to us ASAP at hello@lifeof.fish

How does ordering and collection work?

We accept the majority of our Christmas & New Year orders online because it is the best system, and keeps everything organised.

ORDERING:
When you place an order online, you can add all items to your basket and select the collection location and pickup time at the checkout. You will receive email confirmation once the order has been placed. It's as easy as that!

COLLECTION:
On the day of your collection, please make your way to your chosen shop at the correct collection time with your order number and name to hand.

We organise our pre-orders in collection time, so it is very important to stick to your slot, as your order may not be ready otherwise, and you will have to come back later.

We will hand over your order in a cardboard box. Fish is wet and can be difficult to transport in paper bags, so please do bring a large shopping bag (like a bag for life) or a cooler bag to transport home.

If we can accommodate in any other way, please do reach out.

Do I need to queue when I collect?

There may be a small wait for your collection, but we try our best to be as organised as possible on the day.

Things that will help us retrieve your order quickly:
- Stick to your collection time slow
- Have a copy of your order on your phone or printed out, with the order number and name visible
- Be nice :)

Can I shop in store without a pre-order?

Yes, absolutely!
We will have an amazing selection of fresh fish and seafood in store, but stocks are limited.

To avoid disappointment we recommend to order in advance, but we will always try out best to accommodate what you need in store.

How long will the fish last in my fridge at home, and can I freeze any?

All fish will last at least 3 days in your fridge at home.

There are some items that we suggest should be consumed sooner, like Sashimi fish and Oysters. Please do ask the team on the day for more specific information, or email us hello@lifeof.fish if you need help with selecting when to collect your order.

There are many items that are suitable for freezing such as; Fish Fillets (like Salmon, Cod, Haddock), Cooked Crab & Lobster, Smoked Fish, Whole Fish (like Seabass).

We can also supply certain items frozen, if you need to keep them longer at home (eg, prawns).

Can I order in store?

Yes! Feel free to pop in to any of our shops.

Please note, that we require a £20 cash deposit for all in store pre orders.

When is the deadline for orders?

Strictly midnight on 15th December. We cannot place any more orders after that.

Do you deliver?

Normally yes, but over the Christmas period we need to focus all of our energy in serving our customers in store.

If you want to place a large order for delivery (+£300) do reach out to us directly, as we may be able to organise this.
