Miso BBQ Sauce

Hayakawa BBQ Sauce with Miso is a savoury condiment, full of flavour, that merges traditional Japanese miso with other barbecue sauce elements. This combination creates a rich, umami-packed sauce ideal for enhancing grilled and barbecued dishes.

Barley miso is a traditional Japanese seasoning made from fermented soybeans, barley, salt and koji. It adds a rich complex flavour and umami, which is the fifth basic taste, often described as savoury or meaty.

The sauce also includes typical barbecue ingredients such as soy sauce, sugar, garlic, ginger and chilli which provide a balanced mix of sweet, savoury and tangy flavours.

This sauce has a thick, smooth consistency and a rich dark colour, making it ideal for marinating and glazing.

Excellent for marinating meats such as beef, pork and chicken. The miso helps to tenderise the meat while adding a robust umami flavour, making it perfect for grilling or barbecuing.
